I am recording game footage from Combat Arms. FRAPS is set to record at 60FPS with dimensions of 1600x900.
My current project settings are like this:
Width: 1600
Height: 900
Field Order: None
Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1.3333
Output Rotation: 0
Frame Rate: 60
Stereoscopic 3D Mode: Off
Pixel Format: 8-bit
Full resolution rendering quality: Best
Motion Blur Type: Gaussian
Deinterlace Method: Blend Fields
Although these settings provide amazing video quality, the video isn't what I expected it to be..
How it came out to be: Video 1
As you can see from the video, the actual gameplay footage is 'boxed' in. I have no clue as to why this happens, because both the footage and the project is set as 1600x900.. Ticking 'Do not letterbox' in the render dialog didn't do anything.
I then went to google, and they said I should disable 'Maintain aspect ratio' in the clip properties. I did that and this video is the result. Although I prefer this one over the one before, I'm still not satisfied. To me, the video's width looks stretched out and bad, and the height is still letterboxed. As I said before, both the project and footage are 1600x900. Is there any way to make the footage fill the screen, but not be/look stretched out?
